Nina Pierce's Blind Love and a Giveaway!

Saturday, June 11, 2011
Uptight CPA, JULIE TILLING is tired of doing the right thing. When her friend from high school dies and Julie is the only one who believes he didn’t commit suicide, she takes it upon herself to explore the circumstances surrounding his death. When the investigation takes her into a world of sexy nightclubs and a one night stand that has her heart melting, Julie finds a naughty side of herself she didn’t know existed.

DAMON COREY didn’t come to Maine to become a shock jock. But when his dream of becoming a concert pianist seems unobtainable, the radio station’s offer is too good to pass up. Unfortunately, the one night stands and empty relationships are getting old—that is until a mysterious brunette falls into his arms and wraps around his heart making him believe in love.

With their passion overheating and their sexual encounters exploding, Damon and Julie work to see beyond the masks that have protected them from the world. But will Damon’s enigmatic shock jock persona become Julie’s sexual undoing and reveal Damon as the missing piece that solves the puzzling questions surrounding her friend’s death?

Good Reads Summary

Want to read a steamy romance?  This novel will quickly become a favorite of Nina Pierce's readers.  Damon and Julie are the main characters as well as each others love interests.  Julie needs to relax and let loose and Damon thinks he is the perfect man to help her.  The novel centers around the murder of Julie's friend as well as the romance between Julie and Damon-a reader who doesn't want romance to be the sole focus of the novel will still enjoy this book.  Julie's friends death is declared a suicide, but Julie knows better-her friend would never kill himself.  In order to prove the police wrong, Julie must drop her good girl facade and become more of a nitty gritty investigator.

The further Julie gets into her investigation, the more she learns that the old adage-nothing is as it seems-is true.  She is no longer certain she truly knew her deceased friend and she isn't entirely sure she can trust Damon, especially when the reader realizes that Damon may be connected to Julie's friends demise.  The end contains a twist, further entertaining the reader.  The characters are likable and the reader will really get to know and enjoy Julie.  The plot is not terribly unique, but it works with this novel.  This novel is recommended for adults who enjoy a little romance intertwined with mystery.
