princess trying to find her way back home, while finding herself along the way.

A sorceress trying to retrieve a sacred crystal that was secreted away by her father before he was murdered.

A warrior seeking to avenge the death of his family, who finds himself sidelined by two very different, yet very attractive women.

Three separate travelers drawn together by chance, all destined for one place . . . Avadar!
Good Reads Summary

The first quality the reader notices about this novel-the action starts immediately.  This theme recurs throughout the book, the reader is never bored.  The events of the novel are fast-paced and action-packed, the main characters are intriguing and become like friends to the reader, and the plot is fairly unique.  The reader will love the descriptive fight scenes and the undercurrent of tension running in those scenes, he/she will feel as if she is really in the moment with the fighting characters.  The reader will appreciate that the female characters in this book are not weeping and swooning while waiting for a knight to rescue them; they both take charge of whatever situation they are thrown in and make for strong female characters.  The male character is just dashing enough to pull the average female reader into the novel.  This book has it all-an air of mystery and romance combined with action and drama.  The author pays the right amount of attention to detail, the reader will not be annoyed by long, drawn-out scenes with no dialogue.  The ending is very good and doesn't leave the reader on an unfortunate cliff-hanger.  I would recommend this novel to young adults/adults who enjoy a little bit of every genre with a touch of fantasy.
