Merlin's Blade by Robert Treskillard

A strange meteorite.
A deadly enchantment.
And only Merlin can destroy it.

A meteorite brings a mysterious black stone whose sinister power ensnares everyone except Merlin, the blind son of a swordsmith. Soon, all of Britain will be under its power, and he must destroy the stone—or die trying

Goodreads Blurb

Merlin’s Blade is an inspirational book with a great plot and excellent cast of characters.  Merlin has not led an easy life; he struggles with near blindness and facial scars every day of his life.  After a strange meteorite crashes to the Earth, Merlin’s life changes forever.  The stone seems to enchant everyone, drawing them under a strange spell.  Merlin senses that the rock is evil and goes on a journey to free his friends and destroy the stone.
If there were more people in the world like Merlin, I would not need pepper spray.  Merlin is an amazing person that never complains and always stands up for his friends.  He is an excellent role model for any reader.  I would recommend this book to young adults and people who like books with Christian elements.  Robert Treskillard’s next novel cannot come out soon enough!
