Jennifer Armentrout

Opal

Synopsis:

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

I don't make playlists for books, but sometimes a song will strike me as belonging with it!

  1. Not really. I am not a playlist person.

  1. No, I don't really make playlists for books. It's more like once in a while I'll listen to a song and realize what book it reminds me of (ex. The Cab - Angel with a Shotgun reminds me of Susan Ee's Angelfall)

I don't make playlists, occasionally a song will come on that will make me think of a book I've read in the past.

When I read romantic scenes, I think of I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

I was actually just thinking of doing this for the blog I haven't started yet. :) I always think of Florence and the Machine for everything!

    i dont make a playlist

  1. I have never made a playlist for a book. I am one of those readers who like to have complete silence when they read and after I finish a book I don't really think of music I would put as a soundtrack to it.

I've never made a specific playlist, but I always hear songs on the radio/Pandora/in the mall that remind me of certain relationships. Some recent examples I've discovered are: You Don't Know Her Like I Do by Brantley Gilbert is for how Gale feels about Katniss and Clarity by ZEDD is perfect for Helen and Lucas's relationship in the Starcrossed trilogy by Josephine Angelini.

I occasionally make playlists for certain books, especially if it's a book series. But more often, I'll be really obsessed with a song or a few songs during a certain period and whichever book I'm reading at the time will become associated with that song for me :)

  1. I don't make playlists but if a scene makes me think of a certain song I will add it to my post and review.

No, I don't make playlists for books and don't listen to music while I'm reading.

  1. I don't make playlists. I do some times listen to music while reading though.

  1. Anna said...:

Only for books that I myself write. When I'm reading, music will distract me and I want to read, not be distracted with a song I like.

  1. Rebecca said...:

I only make playlists when I'm writing something of my own or after I've read a book and am reflecting on it. I tend to prefer instrumental music, as I often find lyrics distracting when doing this kind of thing.

I don't make playlists. But I had to make a couple playlists for a school project.

No, I've never made a playlist. But I do like listening to certain genres of music depending on what I'm writing or reading.

  1. I don't but I often hear a song and think about the book/scene/character/relationship that goes with it.
