Everything is connected. We weave in and out of one another's lives, like circles within circles, and everything is for a purpose.
Helen has always been the "crazy" one among the girls of Wyldcliffe, scarred by her bleak past and her troubled relationship with her mother, the former headmistress and leader of the Wyldcliffe coven, Mrs. Hartle.
But Miss Scratton promised Helen that a love "beyond the confines of this world" is waiting for her. Could this be Lynton, the mysterious music student who visits Wyldcliffe for his lessons? And what about the brooch her mother gave her--what can the Seal reveal about Helen's past and future?
Now that Miss Scratton is gone, life at Wyldcliffe takes an even darker turn. An unexpected threat arrives in the form of a new high master, whom Helen remembers from her unhappy childhood. Can Helen, Evie, and Sarah finally overcome Wyldcliffe's darkness? Will Lady Agnes come to their aid? And what sacrifices must they make to fulfill their destiny?
"Destiny" is the stunning conclusion to this gripping series about sisterhood, the circles of time, and love.
Goodreads Summary
Any readers eagerly awaiting Helen's complex story? This book alternates from different view points, but ultimately focuses upon Helen. Helen desperately wants that love that Miss Scratton promised will find her. However, Helen's plans must be put on hold when a Dr. Franzen arrives. Dr. Franzen is a man from Helen's past and one she knows it not the kind High Master he pretends to be. Darkness is back at Wyldcliffe and Helen and her friends of the Mystic Way must find a way to completely defeat the darkness.
Helen's character is complex. She is more mature and very passionate about those she loves. Her intelligent, inquisitive nature leads her into trouble at times, but she is amazing at thinking on her feet. The reader will enjoy reconnecting with Sarah and Evie as well. The other characters have an impact on the outcome of this novel, one that the reader will not expect. Helen's love interest will be intriguing and enigmatic at first. The reader will love watching their relationship develop.
The events are fast-paced and many are very exciting. The author knows just when the plot is starting to lag and manages to insert an event that will have the reader finishing "just one more chapter." The ending is both surprising and slightly heartbreaking, the reader will want another novel in the series, but will also be satisfied with this ending. This book is recommended to young adult/teen readers.

- I'm a young college student who has probably read over 5000 books over the course of my short life; some of the books were classics, some of the books were terrific, and some of the books were...misses. Even with the latter part I will always believe in the power of books to completely remove the reader from his/her present reality. Long Live Books! I would love to read and review books from just about any genre. To contact me: edysicecreamlover18 AT gmail DOT com Thank you for your interest! At this time, I can only accept paperback or hardcover. The finished review copies I receive are either kept in my personal collection or donated to several libaries, schools, or charities-I have no control over the finished review copies after donation. *I claim no ownership for any images used on this site. To be perfectly honest, I got the first book in the series when it first came out, and (if my memory serves me correct) I didn't like it. It seems that I'm the only one though. I've been seeing reviews with the other books in this series where people went nuts for them. After reading your review, I think I'm going to go back and re-read and see if my opinion has been changed. Thanks for the honesty.
