Sometimes beauty is the beast…

"We all hold a beast inside. The only difference is what form it takes when freed."

Rain Ryland has never belonged anywhere. He’s used to people judging him for his rough background, his intimidating size, and now, his orphan status. He’s always been on the outside, looking in, and he’s fine with that. Until he moves to New Wurzburg and meets Friederike Burkhart.

Freddie isn’t like normal teen girls, though. And someone wants her dead for it. Freddie warns he’d better stay far away if he wants to stay alive, but Rain’s never been good at running from trouble. For the first time, Rain has something worth fighting for, worth living for. Worth dying for.

Exclusive Excerpt!

When Rain turned back to Freddie, he bit down a gasp of surprise. She’d stripped off her shirt and tipped her face to the moon, eyes closed, like one would do to the sun at the beach. And here he’d thought the landscape was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen.

The air was still. Eerily still, and her smooth skin appeared to glow from inside in the moonlight—her black lace bra sheer enough to make him a little dizzy.

Without opening her eyes, she said, “Take off your shirt.”

No way in hell was he going to argue with that. He yanked off his shirt, clutching it in his fist, waiting for his next instruction.

He forgot how to breathe when she opened her pale eyes and moved toward him. Her gaze wasn’t focused on his face, though. It was on his chest. Stopping in front of him, she traced her fingers over the ink.

“Raindrops?” she asked, finger outlining one of the shapes.

“Tears,” he replied, again light-headed as she ran her fingertips over his pec.

“For your mom?”

“No. For all of us.”

She stepped back and, for a long time, stared at the tattoo comprised of dozens of drops in a random pattern over his chest, spilling down his ribs.

She traced a scar on his side with the tip of her finger. One of many marring his body from fights. “Your life has been sad.”

And so had hers recently. Maybe that was why he felt so connected to her. Their shared grief, their shared stand against a harsh, unfeeling, screwed-up world. Their shared solitude.

She turned back to the moon and raised her arms. “Do you feel it?”

Well, that was a wide-open question. He was feeling lots of things.

“The moon,” she said. “It’s like aloe when you’re sunburned. Try it.”

He imitated her posture, head back, arms out, but felt nothing other than the throbbing hardness he always felt around her.

“So, what do you think about that legend your aunt told you?” she asked.

He opened his eyes to find her studying him. “That the rock can turn men into beasts?” His mind raced, wondering what would prompt that question and what answer she was looking for. Men were beasts. Horrible monsters at times. He’d seen it firsthand. “I believe we all hide a beast inside. The only difference is what form it takes when freed.”

There it was again. That strange warm pull in his chest while she studied him. Like she totally got him—something no one else had ever bothered to do. He’d never been understood or accepted. People saw his size and found out his background and immediately wrote him off as dangerous or not worth the trouble. Not Freddie.

She obviously found his answer acceptable, because she wound her fingers in his hair and hauled him against her for another kiss. Raw, open-mouthed, and hungry. He’d never met anyone like this, who made him burn so hot he thought he might die from need. Recovering from surprise, he placed his hands on either side of her bare rib cage, feeling her body expand and contract with each quick breath. Bones and hard muscle working beneath smooth, soft skin. Skin he wanted to touch all over.

“I like you, Rain Ryland,” she said, dragging her nails down his back.

“Like” didn’t even come close. He was on fire for her. Had thought of her night and day since he first saw those eerily pale eyes and badass attitude. She was smart, strong, and terribly, terribly dangerous, which turned him on like crazy. “I like you, too.”

“How much?”

Something was going on here. Something other than foreplay. “More than I’ve ever liked anyone.” Which was true and unexpected. This was more than physical, which was a terrifying thought for him. Maybe this time he could stay. Maybe this time he’d actually found a home and wouldn’t have to leave everything behind.

He kissed her again, not wanting to think about legends, or leaving, or anything else for that matter. He wanted to just live in this moment as long as it lasted. Running his hands lower, his thumb brushed the unmistakable shape of a condom in her back pocket. He froze, and she smiled against his lips.

“You scared, Sprinkles?”

“Yes.”

“Of me?” It was like she wanted him to fear her.

“No.” He pulled back, amazed at how her eyes reflected the moon like clear glass. “Of this.” He gestured to the space he’d put between them. “Of whatever this is.” The intensity of it. The urgency. And worse, much worse—the potential loss of it. He’d never feared losing something before because he’d never had anything worth keeping. This girl, though. She was different. And he wanted her.

Ryder (Lost Breed MC Series)

A life of darkness only pays while the sun stays hidden. The shadows of the past follow me no matter where I turn. Mistakes I thought were long dead and gone seem to nip at my heels and tear at my soul. I’m not a good man. Not worthy of redemption. As President of the Lost Breed MC, I fight, f*ck and take what’s mine. But everything changed in the blink of an eye, and now I got a kid, my brother’s kid. The teenage bastard is just like me. And he’s gone missing. My only hope is that the pretty cop down at the station is willing to help a criminal like me out. My focus should be on the kid, but I can’t stop thinking about owning her, marking her, making her mine. She thinks she’s going to be able to resist me forever. She’s wrong. I’m driven mad with the desire to gain her affection, to be the one that wakes her up in the dead of night to take advantage of her softness and remind her who’s King. But what cost would the reaper require to give me such bliss? And am I willing to pay it? You bet your ass I am.

Hailed by Kirkus as “psychologically and philosophically rich,” the timely themes of surveillance, manipulation, and an imbalance of wealth will resonate with citizens in our uncertain global climate, while the unsettling mind games and deep existential questions provide intriguing food for thought. Action-packed and utterly unique, The Keep of Ages is a perfect summer read for fans of mysteries, science fiction, and psychological thrillers.
About the Book: In the fast-paced, high-stakes conclusion to Caragh M. O'Brien's Vault of Dreamers trilogy, Rosie travels to a derelict theme park to shut down dream mining once and for all. Driven by fear when Dean Berg kidnaps her family, Rosie Sinclair strikes out across the country to rescue them. When an elusive trail leads her to Grisly Valley, the contaminated ruin of a horror theme park, Rosie has to consider that Berg may once again be manipulating her every move to make her fearful, priming her for a final, lethal dream mining procedure. As Rosie struggles to outmaneuver Berg, she unearths the ultimate vault of dreamers and the hint of a consciousness more powerful and dangerous than any she's imagined before. Faced with unspeakable suffering and otherworldly beauty, Rosie must discover how to trust her mind, her friends, and reality itself. Propulsive and deeply speculative, The Keep of Ages concludes the Vault of Dreamers trilogy with stirring possibilities for what it means to be alive. About the Author: Caragh M. The Pursuit of Lady Harriett by Rachael Anderson: Promo and Giveaway!

Monday, August 28, 2017
The Pursuit of Lady Harriett by Rachael Anderson When wills clash and hearts collide, who will reign victorious? Termed an Incomparable during her first London season, Lady Harriett Cavendish is beautiful, spirited, and confident, capturing the attention of a great many suitors. Unfortunately, they all failed to capture her attention, and she concluded the season as unattached as she’d begun it. Only weeks prior to her second season, Harriett encounters Lieutenant Christopher Jamison while visiting Tanglewood Manor. Recently returned from war, the lieutenant is everything that Harriett's previous suitors were not. He’s arrogant, ungentlemanly, irritating, and challenges her at every opportunity. When he goes too far, Harriett decides that it’s time to turn the tables on him. But as she sets out to put the lieutenant in his place once and for all, she discovers there is more to him than meets the eye, and when it comes to matters of the heart, she has no control whatsoever.   Excerpt
The corners of the man’s eyes crinkled in a mild show of amusement. “Lady Harriett, I presume?” Rather than look at her with appreciation as most men did, he appeared amused. At her nod, he tucked his hands behind his back, remaining a few steps above her. “I am Lieutenant Christopher Jamison, an old friend of Jonathan’s.” “I was expecting you days ago,” she answered. “Lord Jonathan charged me with the unhappy task of informing you he and his new bride are currently away on their wedding trip. He is sorry he cannot be here to meet with you and has asked that I relay his apologies.” “May I inquire as to how long they will be away?” he asked. No, you may not, she wanted to say. Her neck was beginning to ache from looking up at him, but she forced her gaze to remain steady. “They expected to be gone a fortnight, sir.” “And they have been gone how long, exactly?” She felt an unaccountable hesitancy to tell him. “A week.” “Ah.” He sounded disappointed but seemed to take the news in stride, glancing at Charlie as though wondering whether he ought to retrieve his horse or not. Harriett prayed that he would. When his gaze strayed back to her, he took the unwelcome, and ungentlemanly, liberty of perusing her figure. When his eyes met hers again, his lips twitched into a slight smile. “Forgive me, my lady, but you appear to have had a run-in with a mud puddle and lost.” How kind of him to point that out. Harriett kept her hands at her side rather than attempt to brush the dirt from her face and pelisse yet again. The damage was done, and no amount of brushing or shaking would remove the muck. What she needed was a hot bath and a change of clothes. “Actually, sir, I was merely an innocent bystander.” “Indeed?” She picked up her skirts and ascended the steps, stopping on the stair above him so that she was eye level with him. “Are you always such a reckless rider, sir? Do you not pay heed to your surroundings?” “Of course I do.” “If you had, you would have seen me standing at the side of the road and, I would hope, thought to slow your animal down so as to not splash mud all over my pelisse.” Her chilly set down did not have the desired effect. He did not appear the least bit repentant. Rather, he looked ready to burst into laughter. “And your face, apparently.” He leaned forward and squinted. “If I’m not mistaken, there is a splash or two of mud on your bonnet as well.” Harriett glared at him. “How observant you are, Lieutenant Jamison. One can only wonder why you didn’t put that skill to good use earlier. If you had, perhaps my pelisse, face, and bonnet would still be clean.” “I am always observant, my lady,” he said. “But might I suggest that if you would like to be noticed at the side of the road, you should wear a color that does not blend so perfectly with your surroundings. That particular shade of green looks quite lovely on you, but only someone with the eyes of an eagle would have spotted you in front of a landscape of evergreens.” Harriett opened her mouth to respond, but no words were forthcoming. The man did not even attempt to behave like a gentleman. How could he be so . . . so . . . “Have you no apology to offer, sir?” she finally spluttered. “Oh, did I not apologize? Forgive me.” “For what? Forgetting to apologize or for not doing so in the first place?”

Perfectly You by Robin Daniels: Promo and Giveaway!

Sunday, August 27, 2017
Perfectly You by Robin Daniels Ivy Nixon is the student body Vice President at Franklin High School. Each year, the school holds a date auction to raise funds for the senior class graduation party, and this year, Ivy’s in charge. Planning the event is a huge task and Ivy is determined to prove she can get the job done right. Unfortunately, she’s still one participant short and her deadline is looming. Andy Walker, her cute but socially reclusive art class table mate, is her last resort. He may not be popular, but he’s funny, talented, and full of surprises. With a makeover and some major social marketing, Ivy is sure he could fetch a decent price at the auction. Andy reluctantly agrees to help, but the more time Ivy spends with him, the more her feelings shift from professional to romantic in nature. To top it off, she’s done her marketing so well, that other girls are starting to notice Andy too. Come auction time, will Ivy be able to let him go to the highest bidder? Or will she find a way to keep him for herself… Content Description: This is a stand-alone YA contemporary romance with companion novels set at the same high school. It contains minor language, innuendo, and crude humor, some steamy kissing, a party scene where underage drinking is taking place, and a brief but tasteful conversation about sex. The author has attempted to write characters who make good choices in questionable situations, in effort to keep the content appropriate for teens. This book contains no sex, written or implied, and no explicit language. Recommended for ages 14 and up. EXCERPT #1 I nodded my head. "I know, you're right. But I still have a problem in that I need another volunteer for the auction, regardless of Rob being on my case about it." Andy laid his charcoal on the table. "Ok, so let's solve your problem. There are about a dozen guys in here. Surely one of them would be an acceptable and willing volunteer?" I surveyed the room and gave Andy the play-by-play of my thoughts. "Let's see now. Curtis is so tall and gangly that his pants always look like they're waiting for a flood. Scott's a good artist, but in our limited interactions, I've drawn the conclusion that he has more bong residue in his head than brains. While cute, I'm pretty sure both Todd and Tim are gay, so the pool of seniors willing to bid on them would be exceptionally small. "And then, of course, there's Mason. Good old Mason, who just last week, I saw pick his nose and wipe the booger on the underside of his table." I scrunched up my nose in disgust. "Eeeew, no. Just...no." I finished scanning the male occupants and was more discouraged than when I started. I gave Andy my best pouty face. He laughed heartily, something I rarely heard from him. "I agree, Mason does not make the cut."   EXCERPT #2 "Probably not," I conceded. "Looks like I can kiss my dreams of being on the PGA tour good-bye. What am I doing wrong?" "Now you're asking?" Andy laughed. "On the last hole?" "Better late than never." I shrugged and gave him a toothy grin. "Hang on a second." He sank his last ball in two, then waved me over. "Ok, come here. Let Lilly and Jake go while I show you what to do." I walked to the edge of the green, club in hand. He stood close behind me, wrapping his arms around mine. Then he gently positioned my hands on the handle of the club. I'd always thought it was cheesy in movies when a guy showed a girl how to do something rather than just explaining it. The move was so obvious. But now that I was in that very situation, Andy's body pressed against mine, his yummy cologne assaulting my nose, I didn't care if it was cheesy. "First of all, you're gripping the club too tightly. You need to relax." He leaned over my shoulder and spoke softly against my ear. His breath tickled my neck, and my brain got fuzzy. "Next, you need to stop swinging like you're trying to drive the green. You have to finesse a putter. Swing it more like a pendulum and less like a baseball bat." He chuckled, then started swaying my arms back and forth with his. "Like this, can you feel the difference?" "Mmm-hmm," I lied. I was trying to pay attention, honestly, I was. But his closeness was making it extremely difficult. I couldn't feel anything beyond the warmth of his body and the softness of his lips grazing my ear. Was he trying to help me or distract me? My mind wandered until he pulled away and walked around to face me. "Finally, you need to aim." He smiled. "That's when you look at the ball, then look at the hole, then try to put the ball in the hole."   EXCERPT #3 He smiled back at me. "Then you approve?" he asked, waving his hand over his body. "I even wore school colors, just for you." My eyebrows bunched together. "You wore a white polo," I said flatly. He defended himself. "And the school colors are red and white, are they not?" "Fine. You win," I conceded, shaking my head. Why was he so difficult? And cute?   Author Robin Daniels Robin Daniels is a wife, mother of five and avid consumer of books. She loves reading SO much that she was actually grounded from it as a twelve year old. No Joking! Her mom caught her reading when she was supposed to be cleaning, which was a common occurrence. At that point mom took the books and instructed her to go watch TV or play outside like a normal kid. Robin is a sucker for home design shows and magazines, watches way too much Netflix and has a very codependent relationship with with a certain diet soda who’s brand shall not be named. (Though anyone with a similar problem could probably guess which one.)

Blurb
The Bachelor meets The Runaway Bride in this addictive romance novel about a reality TV producer falling for her would-be star: a Montana heartthrob who wants nothing to do with the show.

Jordan Carpenter thinks she’s finally found the perfect candidate for Jilted, a new dating show about runaway grooms: Luke Elliott, a playboy firefighter who’s left not one but three brides at the altar. The only problem? Luke refuses to answer Jordan’s emails or return her calls. Which is how she ends up on a flight to Montana to recruit him in person. It’s not Manhattan but at least the locals in Lucky Hollow seem friendly . . . except for Luke, who’s more intense—and way hotter—than the slick womanizer Jordan expected.

Eager to put the past behind him, Luke has zero intention of following this gorgeous, fast-talking city girl back to New York. But before he can send her packing, Jordan’s everywhere: at his favorite bar, the county fair, even his exes’ book club. Annoyingly, everyone in Lucky Hollow seems to like her—and deep down, she’s starting to grow on him too. But the more he fights her constant pestering, the more Luke finds himself wishing that Jordan would kick off her high heels and make herself comfortable in his arms.

Damn. Charlie hadn’t been lying about the hot blonde.
The woman walking straight toward him was all tight jeans, high heels, and confi-dence. And hot. Very, very hot.
Charlie muttered something admiring under his breath, and Luke’s gaze flicked to the man beside the woman. Tried to place him. Couldn’t.
Not too many guys around here who wore light-purple shirts and white pants with the same easy comfort that Lucky Hollow residents wore jeans and flannel.
No doubt about it—neither was from around here. Not by a long shot.
The man was a half step behind the woman, and Luke assessed that the woman was calling the shots.
His eyes narrowed as he realized that she hadn’t once wavered in her approach.
She knew what she was after:
Him.
She got closer and Luke saw that the face matched the body. Wide blue eyes, full lips, sassy shoulder-length blond hair that was just tousled enough to make a man wonder how it had gotten that way—to want to be the one to muss it.
Her gaze flicked over him, and Charlie whistled and muttered under his breath. “She just checked you out, man.”
She had indeed, but Luke was far from flattered. It hadn’t been the assessment of a woman checking out a man so much as a predator evaluating its prey.
As though she was evaluating him for . . . something.
Blondie stopped in front of him, and the second her blue eyes locked on his, Luke felt a little jolt of awareness and was irrationally annoyed. It had been a long time since he’d been quite so aware of a woman.
Once, he’d enjoyed the feeling—sexual chemistry was almost the perfect combination of pain and pleasure. A subtle punch in the gut that you wanted to experience again and again.
These days, though, he was having a hard time getting past the pain part. The shitty parts had outweighed the good parts just one time too many. Now he mostly settled for casual hookups with a divorcée a few towns over who was even less interested in com-mitment than Luke was.
He had zero use for attraction to a pretty, bold woman in high heels.
Luke noticed that for a sheer moment she had a slightly off-balance look, as though she too had felt the annoying zip of arousal when their eyes met, but she recovered quick-ly.
Pasting a sunny, generic smile on her face, she stuck out her right hand. “Luke Elliott. I’m Jordan Carpenter. This is my colleague, Simon Nash.”
Good manners had him setting down his equipment and extending his own right hand toward hers even as his brain caught on her name. Familiar, and . . .
Shit. Shit!
He managed to stop from jerking his hand back, but just barely. Instead, he gritted his teeth, gave her hand a perfunctory shake, and then fixed her with a glare. “You’re wasting your time, Ms. Carpenter. And mine.”
Blue eyes narrowed. “Aha. So you did get my emails.”
Those. The voicemails. The letters.
“Sure,” he said with a nod, shoving his hands in his pockets. “Just like I suspect you got the message that I didn’t want to be a part of your show.”
Charlie looked from the woman to Luke and back again. “Show?”
Ryan ambled over, his shit-eating grin telling Luke that this damn woman had already spilled the beans on why she was here. “Luke’s gonna be a national heartthrob.”
“International,” said the blond guy in the purple shirt.
Jordan Carpenter didn’t look at her companion, but all three firefighters did.
The other man gave the sort of easy smile that probably had him making friends easily. Luke didn’t want a new friend.
Especially not one who wanted to use his shitty romantic past for the sake of TV ratings.

Sin and Cider

Shaking the lust from my mind, I decide to turn my focus to the inside of the barn now that I’ve finished the thankless task of clearing out weeds. I had pulled out some of the rubbish inside already but still have a lot of work to do. I pull one of the doors to the side, the gentle creaking sound washing over me in a wave of nostalgia. I make my way inside and step over dried leaves and debris, each step kicking up a layer of dust. I look ahead and broken slats of wood are on the ground; those must be part of the original roof that was destroyed. I survey the space and take in the old tanks where we used to make cider and the empty jugs, some whole and some broken, lining the walls on shelves covered in cobwebs. When I was a kid this barn was spotless and welcoming, the perfect place to make cider and welcome visitors. Now it looks like an old photograph and not the treasured memory it really is. I take a deep breath and the smells of dust and mold fill my nose instead of crisp apples and warm spices. It’s in this moment I make a promise to myself: I’m going to restore this barn to its former glory.

I pick my way across the worn and dirty hardwood and undo the latch on one of the windows. As soon as it swings open the sweet smell of flowers permeates the air and rays of sunshine filter in, the shafts of light instantly brightening up the room. I open the window on the other side and feel excited about the task at hand. This barn is a dirty penny and just needs to shine again.

Sheets and Secrets

I get to the store, walk inside, and grab a small basket, my skin already feeling nice and cool. I know if everything I get can all fit in the basket it won’t be too much to carry back home. I throw away my coffee and head toward the bread section. As I make my way through the aisles I notice a guy in a cop uniform. Not just any guy, but the guy. The one from last night and now in my notebook. He’s right next to the eggs. Damn it. Eggs were the last item on my list so I decide to wait around the milk section until he leaves. I bet he doesn’t even recognize me. Why would he? He probably sees dozens of people a day being a cop. He finally leaves the aisle without any eggs, which pisses me off a little, and I head straight for the eggs I need so I can get out of here. I quickly make my way to the checkout register and start to lay my items out on the conveyer belt.

“Did you forget the milk?” a deep voice asks behind me.

“Excuse me?” I turn around and it’s him. I immediately blush and don’t know why. I guess it’s because I’ve never been so close to a cop before. Or maybe it’s the way his eyes pierce through me like he knows all my secrets.

Green. His eyes are a delicious shade of green. I make a mental note to put that down in my notebook.

“You spent a lot of time in the milk section and I was just curious.” He looks at me as I continue to put the rest of my items down. Does he remember me? My cheeks flush more red at the thought.

Shit. I did forget the milk.

“Yeah, I actually did! I am so sorry, you can go ahead of me. You only have one item anyway,” I say as I stare at his six-pack of abs…I mean beer.

“No, it’s fine. I can go get it. What kind do you normally get?” He sets his beer down at the end of the belt.

“Non-fat. Just a half-gallon, please. Thank you.” I watch him walk away as I tighten my legs. What is this guy doing to me? Why the hell did I say non-fat? I usually take whole milk but I want him to think I’m a tad bit healthy.

“Now that is the finest ass cop I’ve ever seen,” the cashier hums as she puts away my food.

“I’ll pay for this too.” I hand her his six-pack of beer.

He comes back with the milk just as I’m about to finish paying for everything and notices I already have his beer on the other end of the register.

“You didn’t need to do that,” he says genuinely.

“It’s my pleasure, really. Take it as a thank you for your service.” I grab all my new items, leave the beer behind, and walk quickly out the door. Do people even thank cops for their service or is that just a military thing? All I know is I need to get out of here because I can’t take this feeling that’s happening in my panties. Thank God I wore jeans.

I hear footsteps catch up behind me.

“Wait, can I repay you somehow? Maybe a drink sometime?” he says as he lifts his new beer.

“I appreciate the offer but I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Hoping he takes the hint, I turn back around and head home.

“Well, can I at least get your number. Or a name?” He is very persistent.

“Ellie is my name. And…no. I don’t mean to be rude, Officer…Gaines. But I really have to go.” I take my eyes off his chest where his name badge is and change my walk to a slow jog. My heart starts to panic. Knowing his last name gives me sweet shivers. Why the hell did I just say no to giving my number to a hot cop? Ariel would be proud though, she would never want me dating a cop. I don’t need that kind of distraction in my life anyway. I just need to focus on my book. Or looking for a real job. I just got out of a messy relationship and the last thing I need is to get into another one.

Once I get to the apartment, Ariel helps unload the few bags of groceries I set on the counter.

“Are you blushing?” She always gets excited when it comes to my love life.

“No,” I lie. “It’s just hot out there.”

“What is this crap?” She points to the non-fat milk.

“Oh, they were out of whole milk,” I lie, not really wanting to talk about the scene at the grocery store.

I go to my notebook and write down my new notes before I start typing my story.

“I forgot to tell you last night, I’ve got some good news!” Ariel sits on the windowsill next to the desk. “The strip club is hiring and I can put in a good word for you. With your good looks you are pretty much set to get in.”

“I don’t know.” I never thought I would ever be a stripper. I’ve thought about writing a couple stories that involved them but never considered becoming one in real life.

“Trust me, it’s not what you think. You can set your own rules and limitations there. You don’t have to do anything you’re uncomfortable with. Plus you make bank. At least let me set you up with an interview,” Ariel pleas.

It would be nice not having to slug around with rent anymore. I would love to have a paying job again. That would take a lot of pressure off of me with writing this damn book.

“Plus, you would have killer inspiration for your book. You could feature a stripper. Maybe even do an entire book about me!” Ariel laughs at the thought and I join her. She would make quite an interesting story. She makes a good point though. Even if I were to work there it’d only be for a little bit, just until I find something more stable. She did say I could make my own rules and limitations. How hard could it be?

“You really think I could dance well on a pole?” I ask timidly.

“You would be a natural. With your body you won’t have to do much to please them. What are you, a D cup?” She pokes around my breasts.

“Okay, okay! Just stop poking me!” I laugh at the thought of how close we’ve become in such a short amount of time, and also her knowledge of my breast size.

“Great! Your interview is tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.”

“Wait, you already set up an interview for me?” I guess I shouldn’t be too shocked. This sounds like a typical thing she would do.

“Yup! You can thank me later. Maybe tonight I can show you a few moves the boss likes to see.” Ariel starts to move her legs upwards while shaking her big ass.

“Oh my God. I am so screwed.” She can tell by the horrified look on my face that I will need a lot of prep tonight. She laughs and says I’ll be fine. She goes back into her room and there’s finally hope for getting some writing done.

As I sit staring at my laptop, all my thoughts lead back to the grocery store.

Fuck. I should have given him my number.
