DESTRUCTION
The Year of Souls begins with an earthquake—an alarming rumble from deep within the earth—and it’s only the first of greater dangers to come. The Range caldera is preparing to erupt. Ana knows that as Soul Night approaches, everything near Heart will be at risk.

FLIGHT
Ana’s exile is frightening, but it may also be fortuitous, especially if she can convince her friends to flee Heart and Range with her. They’ll go north, seeking answers and allies to stop Janan’s ascension. And with any luck, the newsouls will be safe from harm’s reach.

CHOICE
The oldsouls might have forgotten the choice they made to give themselves limitless lifetimes, but Ana knows the true cost of reincarnation. What she doesn’t know is whether she’ll have the chance to finish this one sweet life with Sam, especially if she returns to Heart to stop Janan once and for all.

With gorgeous romance and thrilling action, the final book in the Incarnate trilogy offers a brilliant conclusion to the compelling questions of this fascinating world, where one new girl is the key to the lives of millions.

Goodreads Summary

I couldn't wait for the conclusion to the Newsoul series.  I love how Ana's character has grown and changed over the course of the series.  She appears to truly love Sam and wants to be with him.  I loved her innovative idea about how to stop Janan.  Ana is still trying her best to save her fellow Newsouls even when they are blatantly rejected.  The reader will love how the author delves further into the explanation of how Newsouls came to be eaten by Janan.  I loved the history behind the village.

This plot is full of action.  There is everything from romance to murder to... dragons!  I loved how Ana decided to utilize the dragons and achieve their compliance.  The relationships between the characters were diverse and, at times, heartwarming.  Despite this being the last in the series, I felt that the author still paid attention to developing the characters further.  Overall, this novel is recommended for young adult/teen readers.

This sounds like a book I would enjoy reading but since I have not read any of the series, I had better not begin with this one

I really love the covers of this trilogy! They're all so colorful and pretty (shallow word, but still)... I finished the first book of this series, and have just started the second book~ The masks on the cover of each book actually DO make sense and directly relate to the boooks...

  1. Yay! I'm glad this one ends so well and that is particularly great news that the characters just keep developing. I look forward to the dragons.

    Thanks!
