Savor by Megan Duncan Review and Giveaway!
When Claire Miller turned eighteen all she wanted to do was celebrate her birthday, but after a night on the town with her best friend she awakes to a visitor she never expected. The rulers of her region, a vampire royal family, have chosen her to be turned as their new heir and vampire princess. Claire quickly discovers the royal family is not what they seem and that she has secrets in her past, she never knew existed.

What was the reason you chose not only vampires but vampire royalty? I love a good vamp story and this one sounds intriguing. Thanks for the giveaway.

Vampires are a popular supernatural theme, what is unique about Claire and her fellow vampires in Savor?
It sounds like quite an exciting read! Thanks for the chance to win a copy!
-
I am curious how her vampires are compared to other books.
Did this lead to trouble in her writing or did she just ignore the other vampire books out there as she wrote?
-
What great questions!!
@Crazy & @Nicole - I came up with the idea when I was trying to think outside the box. Every where I look in books vampires are feared or live in secret so I wanted to change that in Savor. :o)
@Scorpio - I was really hoping to have a cover that popped and was somewhat dramatic, but in a good way. Hopefully I did that. Again, I wanted to be outside the box with my cover and do something I had never seen.
@Happy Booker - I think Claire and the vampires are unique because they are admired and revered in their world. (well almost all of them - *winks) My vampires don't like in hiding and can do things I haven't seen anywhere before.
@Deranged - I tried to totally create my own unique vampire in a whole new way. I keep a couple of the old traditional things but its completely my own fantasy character. Which gives me lots of freedom to write.
Thanks for all the awesome questions everyone! I hope you all enjoy Savor!

How did you come up with the name for the book?

The goodreads summary was a bit strange lol but it doesn't sound like a cute quick read.

Why vampires? I think thats a good question - since it is a highly saturated market I'd like to know why an author would choose to write a story around them.
-
@Kayla - I came up with the name by trying to get into the mind of a vampire. If they thought of a human or of blood what word(s) would pop into their head
@Padkins - I actually really like to read vampire stories and I thought it would be fun to see where I could go when writing my own. There are tons of vampire stories out there, and I really hope I added uniqueness and a big splash of my wild imagination to the mix

my question would be- what inspired you to write this story?
great giveaway!:)
-
What is your favorite trait the main character has?
-
My question for Megan would be what made you decide to write YA and is there more coming from these characters after Savor?
-
I would ask, Why vampires? since there are so many vampire stories out there now.
Thanks!
