Sometimes the past is better off buried.
Senior year is finally over. After all they’ve been through, Dan, Abby, and Jordan are excited to take one last road trip together, and they’re just not going to think about what will happen when the summer ends. But on their way to visit Jordan’s uncle in New Orleans, the three friends notice that they are apparently being followed.. And Dan starts receiving phone messages from someone he didn’t expect to hear from again—someone who died last Halloween.
As the strange occurrences escalate, Dan is forced to accept that everything that has happened to him in the past year may not be a coincidence, but fate—a fate that ties Dan to a group called the Bone Artists, who have a sinister connection with a notorious killer from the past. Now, Dan’s only hope is that he will make it out of his senior trip alive.
In this finale to the New York Times bestselling Asylum series, found photographs help tell the story of three teens who exist on the line between past and present, genius and insanity.
Goodreads Summary
Many seniors in high school plan the road trip of their lives the summer before they head off to their first year at college. It is an adventure of fun that friends look forward to where they do one last thing they want to before having to get to their studies. This road trip however doesn't end up being all fun and games though, as some creepy disturbance is following this group as the head towards Jordan's uncle's house.
This book is the right amount of darkness for the avid horror lovers out there these days looking to get a good thrill. All of the typical elements of a good horror movie are here in this book, and the author did a great job at planning out the plot and movement of the story. I will say though, that a lot of events in the story seemed to happen only to push the plot forward to the next part. It isn't to say that the events were bad, they just could have been executed a little bit better. Everything is here for the book to be a decent horror though and I think many readers will enjoy the story.

About Me
- Krystal Larson
- Chicago, Illinois, United States
- I'm a young college student who has probably read over 5000 books over the course of my short life; some of the books were classics, some of the books were terrific, and some of the books were...misses. Even with the latter part I will always believe in the power of books to completely remove the reader from his/her present reality. Long Live Books! I would love to read and review books from just about any genre. To contact me: edysicecreamlover18 AT gmail DOT com Thank you for your interest! At this time, I can only accept paperback or hardcover. The finished review copies I receive are either kept in my personal collection or donated to several libaries, schools, or charities-I have no control over the finished review copies after donation. *I claim no ownership for any images used on this site.
