Finding My Faith Guest Post and $15 Gift Card Giveaway with Ebooks!
Thank you for having me here today, Krystal.
When writing this b
ook, Faith was definitely the most fun character to write, but also the most difficult.
When working on the character of Faith, I knew that I wanted her to be similar to Rayner in background and personality, like two pieces of a puzzle coming together. So, I made her a Native American, a girl of twenty-five who gives her parents a lot of grief and is in the big city living the life of a young woman who loves to try new things. She doesn't know it, but she also plays a huge part in a Native American Legend.
I searched high and low through what seemed like thousands of Native American legends to find on that would work with my story, but I didn't find one. I had to take the liberty of making up one of my own.
I based her childhood loosely on my brother's (he was a bit of a trouble causer as well). Her life when Rayner enters the story has some shades of my friends and me in our twenties.
Faith was a lot of fun, and she became very real to me. I was happy to release her out into the world, but sad to see her go.
GIVEAWAY: two eBook copies of The Light Within Me (the first book of this series)at each tour stop; a $15 All Romance eBooks GC for one randomly drawn commenter and $10 Amazon GC for blog host with the most comments (excluding the host's and the author's).

When going to Amazon to put Finding My Faith on my wishlist, I noticed the name of the series is Six Saviors. Assuming that you're planning 6 books for the series, are all the plots fully developed, or are you still looking for inspiration?

I love that the author, when she couldn't find any Native American folklore to pull from, just up and created her own! Thanks for the chance to win:)

Thank you to everyone for stopping in! Yes, Kathryn, there are six books planned. I have a basic idea for each, but they aren't totally planned out.

Thanks for hosting and giving me a chance to win :) The book sounds great.

There is one reason above any other that this book appeals to me. A 25 year old girl who is a little bit of a troublemaker? Hmmm....sounds familiar. I am almost 30 now and I have settled down drastically, but I wasn't quite so "settled" in my late teens are early to mid twenties. I really relate to characters who are having a hard time finding their place in the world, or trying to overcome pain and heartache, so they act out. I remember those feelings so well. It is always nice to root for someone when I know how they feel. The book sounds awesome and thanks for your post!

to Jamie:
I am 45 and my dad is 72 and we are still a little bit of trouble makers, him much more than me.
Someone said the series is called Six something (sorry can't remember). Seriously will it be six books?

About Me
- Krystal Larson
- Chicago, Illinois, United States
- I'm a young college student who has probably read over 5000 books over the course of my short life; some of the books were classics, some of the books were terrific, and some of the books were...misses. Even with the latter part I will always believe in the power of books to completely remove the reader from his/her present reality. Long Live Books! I would love to read and review books from just about any genre. To contact me: edysicecreamlover18 AT gmail DOT com Thank you for your interest! At this time, I can only accept paperback or hardcover. The finished review copies I receive are either kept in my personal collection or donated to several libaries, schools, or charities-I have no control over the finished review copies after donation. *I claim no ownership for any images used on this site.
