What I liked best about this book was the element of unknown combined with a sense of adventure that could only be satisfied by reading further in the book. The characters are well-developed and you can really get to care about them. Although stories like this have been told before, the author does well with keeping scenes and the plot fresh and exciting. Frankel also keeps enough of the answers a mystery until the right times to keep you guessing which situation will go which way. I also loved the message behind the story about helping the needy when they need it most. It was a very nice touch of humanity in a story where it seems like so many characters have the potential to lose themselves to the current crisis. All in all, this book is worth the read.
