Jen Johansson

  Insomnia

Synopsis:

Instead of sleeping, Parker Chipp enters the dream of the last person he’s had eye contact with. He spends his nights crushed by other people’s fear and pain, by their disturbing secrets—and Parker can never have dreams of his own. The severe exhaustion is crippling him. If nothing changes, Parker could soon be facing psychosis and even death.

Then he meets Mia. Her dreams, calm and beautifully uncomplicated, allow him blissful rest that is utterly addictive. Parker starts going to bizarre lengths to catch Mia’s eye every day. Everyone at school thinks he’s gone over the edge, even his best friend. And when Mia is threatened by a true stalker, everyone thinks it’s Parker.

Suffering blackouts, Parker begins to wonder if he is turning into someone dangerous. What if the monster stalking Mia is him after all?

I usually do remember my dreams! I have the weirdest ones too! Like one time I had a dream that a giant T-Rex handed me a can of Pepsi, and another time airplanes were just free falling from the skies. I think it's because I am weird, lol.

Thanks so much for this massive giveaway!

That's a very good question. Yes, I always remember them. I have very vivid dreams and it's almost like I'm awake while dreaming but sleeping.
    I don't get it either!
    Thank you,
    Alenette

I always remember my dreams. Mostly because they're almost always nightmares, lol.

  1. Unknown said...:

No, most of the time not. I wake up and I think about what I dreamt, most of it is gone already. And during the day I forget it completely.

I think you've put up the synopsis for Delirium by Lauren Oliver... But thanks for the giveaway!

  1. I am SO excited for this book!! And nope, I never remember my dreams. I roll over and forget every detail.

  1. Nara said...:

To be honest, not really. I might have a vague idea but I never remember the details!

  1. Rachel said...:

@Eveline: Same here! I go through my dream right when I wake up, then forget about it when the day starts.

  1. Brynna said...:

I usually can't remember my dreams when I wake up. Occasionally I do, especially if it's a nightmare, but mostly... no. No dreams for me.

  1. Ruthsic said...:

I don't remember what happened in the dream but I usually remember the people in it or some place it occured

this book sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing! I usually remember my dreams... not the details but the gist of them anyway...

  1. Unknown said...:

I always forget shortly after unfortunately and fortunately...depending on the dream!

  1. Unknown said...:

I've found that if I replay it immediately after I wake up, I can usually remember it later in the day. I also remember dreams really well when I have the same dream a second time. I recognize that I've gone through this scenario before, and it's pretty cool :)

  1. I remember my dreams sometimes. I think that the reason for that is because those have some signifigance to my life somehow.

  1. Unknown said...:

I rarely remember my dreams anymore, and I really miss them. I should try keeping a dream journal. I've been told if you do that you will remember them a lot more.

  1. I start forgetting them pretty quickly unless they are especially traumatizing, which of course are the dreams I want to forget, lol.

I forget when I wake up but when I fall back asleep or in that half awake/sleep state I start to remember them all again.

  1. I always seem to remember the dreams that are the weirdest. You know, the dreams you wake up from and immediately think, "what the hell was that?!"

  1. Kiku said...:

I usually remember my dreams, but they've got long and complex storylines, not just nonsense, so a lot of details tend to go missing. Today's dream was interesting, but it's too much to describe. When I woke up I was still kinda in it, thinking, wow, this could be an awesome idea for a book! But the details are already dissipating -.-

  1. I almost always remember my dreams. I've always been extremely interested in them because they are so vivid and imaginative. I've lived whole other lives in my dreams as if living past lives again in a new way. I've never been much for 'dream interpretations' but I keep a dream journal on my night stand in case I have a particularly good or bad dream that I just have to write down. I've been doing it since I was a teenager and when I go back and read those descriptions, I can still remember dreams from over 10 years ago which is pretty amazing.

I do usually remember my dreams and they are typically crazy and occasionally scary.

  1. I rarely remember any of dreams, sadly...

  1. DShope said...:

I remember some of them when they are very vivid.

  1. I usually remember my dreams, but they're always weird. Like really really weird. That is why I started a Dream Journal. I want to see if there is a pattern to this...

I believe in dreams. I had a dream the other night that I was being eaten alive by giant cockroaches. The next morning I went to work only to find that managment was now requiring even more micromanaging policies. So, must have been in my subconscious.

  1. Unknown said...:

  1. Tammy said...:

Sometimes, especially when I take a nap.

  1. Ina M. said...:

Quite often, which is usually really cool, unless it's a nightmare. The last thing I dreamt about was sneaking in the utility room of the house we'll be moving in next month, and having a nosey while the tennants were still there. Yep, a totally weird and silly dream, but a utility room rocks so much that I don't mind one bit dreaming about it!
