Deborah Blumenthal

The Lifeguard

Synopsis:

It's an unsettled summer for Sirena. Back in Texas, her family's splitting apart, but here in Rhode Island, at the cottage of her free-spirited aunt, it's a different world. There are long days at the beach and intriguing encounters with him. Pilot. He's the lifeguard with shamanic skills. He both saves her and makes her feel lost at sea. Sirena explores her obsession with Pilot and discovers his mysterious--almost magical--gifts.

I suppose, though most of the beaches around where I live don't have lifeguards, so there isn't much opportunity.

Only one... when we went to Disney world a few years ago... there was a very cute one :)

  1. Oh yeah!! Many many times when I was a lot younger!! And yeah they were definitely HOT!

  1. Not really? Most of the lifeguards at our community pool are female, and the few that are male aren't THAT attractive

Nah. None of the beaches I go to have lifeguards and I don't care when at the pool

  1. My friends and sister would do that all the time when we went to the beach! We would always go on a walk down the beach just to check out the lifeguards!

  1. Not recently. I need to get to a pool!

I don't really go to places with lifeguards. But it does make me think of The Sandlot, lol!

Yea, when I was in middle school. The pool I went to was employed by hotter, older high schoolers :)
