C.J. Redwine

Deception

Synopsis:

Baalboden has been ravaged. The brutal Commander's whereabouts are unknown. And Rachel, grief stricken over her father's death, needs Logan more than ever. With their ragged group of survivors struggling to forge a future, it's up to Logan to become the leader they need—with Rachel by his side. Under constant threat from rival Carrington's army, who is after the device that controls the Cursed One, the group decides to abandon the ruins of their home and take their chances in the Wasteland.

But soon their problems intensify tenfold: someone—possibly inside their ranks—is sabotaging the survivors, picking them off one by one. The chaos and uncertainty of each day puts unbearable strain on Rachel and Logan, and it isn't long before they feel their love splintering. Even worse, as it becomes clear that the Commander will stop at nothing to destroy them, the band of survivors begins to question whether the price of freedom may be too great—and whether, hunted by their enemies and the murderous traitor in their midst, they can make it out of the Wasteland alive.

In this daring sequel to Defiance, with the world they once loved forever destroyed, Rachel and Logan must decide between a life on the run and standing their ground to fight.

I have had a blast with this event and cannot believe how much effort you have put into it. Thank you so much for all the sharing and for these wonderful giveaway opportunities. There are so many treats I have on my wishlist and it is fun to dream that RC may pick me :)

I love this event! I definitely added quite a few books I hadn't heard of to my TBR list. As for suggestions... the only thing I was kind of confused about were bonus entries given for writing a review of the book. I know some people may have read the book already and still want to win a copy, but it seems a little silly to me. To me, it makes more sense to have a 'write a review of any book by the author' option maybe. But I can also see how you want to encourage people to write reviews for the actual book too, as you're trying to give it some momentum.

This was a crazy event and must have been insane to organize! I am so appreciative of all the opportunities to win so many great books! One thing I noticed was that a lot of time there was no entry for followers of your blog. You put all this work in, maybe you should get some recognition out of it too. From someone who has been following for a little over a year now :)

I am going to hate to see this end. It has been a lot of fun, and I've even won something a couple times! With any luck, maybe I'll win at least once more before it's all over. Thanks for a great event.

This was an amazing opportunity to win books by authors I already know and from ones I had not heard of yet. There was truly a great variety of books, something for every taste. I loved the different questions for each contest so that it wasn't the same boring questions every time. I felt the contest was very fair as far as "points" for each entry and the number and types of entries. I probably would not have ended every one on the same day - maybe have all the June ones end (either June 30th or a week into July), then have all of the July ones end.

  1. Love this event. I was lucky enough to win the 50 book giveaway last go around, so I didn't enter it this time, but I have very much enjoyed the rest of the author giveaways!! There have been some amazing ones. Keeping my fingers crossed! One of the best things, and the most appreciated, is that there wasn't a "Leave a comment on any post" entry on these giveaways. That would have been a lot of commenting, and a lot of times, I don't have a lot of time. This has been wonderful, and thank you so very much!

I'm so glad all of you enjoyed the event! Answer to your questions:

It was very tiring to put together all of the posts, tweet, post on facebook/goodreads, email all of the authors, put together the rafflecopter, and it was all me - Rachel - who did that. In the end it's really worth it, I enjoyed organizing this for you guys!

  1. I've added so many books to my TBR pile! Thanks for all the giveaways and for introducing me to authors and books I didn't know about.
