Defiance by C.J. Redwine: 250+ Book Giveaway! (USA)
When Rachel's father fails to return from a courier mission and is declared dead, the city's brutal Commander assigns Rachel a new Protector: her father's apprentice, Logan—the boy she declared her love to and who turned her down two years before. Left with nothing but fierce belief in her father's survival, Rachel decides to escape and find him herself.
As Rachel and Logan battle their way through the Wasteland, stalked by a monster that can't be killed and an army of assassins out for blood, they discover romance, heartbreak, and a truth that will incite a war decades in the making.

I love that the cover is sort of dark and a bit mysterious. I absolutely love the look of the fog (is it fog/mist?) and the trees. I'm intrigued by the monster and army of assassins! =D
-
Love the dark tones with her red hair standing out! Beautiful!
-
She's sitting in the middle of a piece of something looking off into the distance, looking all the world like a huntress. The tiny, laser beam of piercing green light is there beneath as an indication of her otherworldly status, or hopes, or perhaps that the demonic creatures stalking have just sighted on her while she's posing. In any case, the cover certainly goes well with the blurb.
-
I love the contrast of mostly black against the red color of her hair. You know from this that the story is very strong and mysterious.
-
I love how the girl looks like she can kick some but and that she has a giant cape. I also like that there is a cool faded city on the bottom of the cape. Makes you wonder if she is running from the city or to it. I also like the dark colors and combined with her bright red hair. The combination of the two catches the eye. :)

I love this cover!! Like someone else said, the girl looks strong and capable which I think fits the blurb :) Thanks for sharing!
-
I really like the colors and the trees in the background. It looks a little spooky.
-
I think the cover is really gorgeous and I've been dying to get my hands on this book for so long now because I just love the author C.J. Redwine!
-
Defying gender stereotypes is always a plus for me, in a story.
I'm really, really ready to have heroines who aren't redheads, though.
-
I love everything about the cover and it sounds like an amazing book to read. :)
-
It really just sounds like quite an interesting read and I'm really curious to find out more about the character.

- I'm a young college student who has probably read over 5000 books over the course of my short life; some of the books were classics, some of the books were terrific, and some of the books were...misses. Even with the latter part I will always believe in the power of books to completely remove the reader from his/her present reality. Long Live Books! I would love to read and review books from just about any genre. To contact me: edysicecreamlover18 AT gmail DOT com Thank you for your interest! At this time, I can only accept paperback or hardcover. The girl on the cover looks so strong and fierce! Independent heroines in YA are kind of hard to come by, at least for me.
