I've never had a tragic disaster/love story, but my best friend has. She fell in love with a guy from a different religion than herself 13 years ago. When her dad found out, he forced them to break up, & they did. They were miserable for months, until he begged her to get back together & because she loves him so much she agreed. They've been together ever since, but in secret, her dad still doesn't know. I'm one of the few who knows they are still together. Even though she is 31 years old, she sneaks around like a teenager.
I'm not sure if you would call it tragic, but it felt that way when the guy I dated for 3yrs. since I was 16, broke my heart by breaking up with me the year before we was to be married. it took a long time to get over that! Now I'm happily married :) Good Luck to All & Happy Reading :)
I once had a tragic love story (or so I thought). I fell in love with my best friend who was engaged. I waited a long time for him because he seemed to return my feelings, but eventually, I wised up and found the perfect man instead. He eventually broke up with the girl but it took years... glad I didn't wait! :-)
I guess my husband leaving me after being married for about 18 years is my tragic love story. He was in Afghanistan at the time which was around 2009. And I thought we were doing well. But on Valentine’s Day of 2009 he sent me an email and told me he wants a divorce. It was so hard to deal with because he was on the other side of the world. And when he came home he was not the same person I knew before he left. Thank you so much for a chance to win and for being a part of this fun and awesome blog hop!!
The guy I was crushing on(my brother's friend) was interested in my ex-friend. It was really painful when he used to ask me if i knew where she was. Such a waste b/c she was just stringing him along. What? It was tragic for me.
Yes, my ex cheated on me and left me with a 5yr old and disappeared for almost a year to live with a chick 12yrs. younger than him!! It took a long time for me to forgive him and we became best friends and he died in 2010.
Kind of, I suppose. My husband and I had been dating for exactly one month and one day (and we already epically in love) when I suffered a traumatic spinal cord injury I still haven't recovered from, nine years later.
I guess you could say my marriage was a tragic love story. Everyone (including me) thought we were the perfect match, but after nearly 10 years, we divorced. Thankfully, I have gone on to do something with my life. My ex? Not so much.
I have entered your Titanic Giveaway Hop It would be great to win a book of my choice. In response to your question of Have you ever had a tragic disaster/love story in your life? No i haven't. Thank you for having this giveaway!!!
I don't know if you would technically consider this epic, but I gave up a trip to France to attend a workshop where I met my husband. Had I gone to France, I'm pretty sure I would still be single :)
