Between the Sea and Sky
Jackie Dolamore
For as long as Esmerine can remember, she has longed to join her older sister, Dosinia, as a siren--the highest calling a mermaid can have. When Dosinia runs away to the mainland, Esmerine is sent to retrieve her. Using magic to transform her tail into legs, she makes her way unsteadily to the capital city. There she comes upon a friend she hasn't seen since childhood--a dashing young man named Alander, who belongs to a winged race of people. As Esmerine and Alander band together to search for Dosinia, they rekindle a friendship . . . and ignite the emotions for a love so great, it cannot be bound by sea, land, or air.
Thanks for the giveaway! I would say hello to the mermaid. <3

Say hi
ReplyDeleteIf a mermaid popped up in front of me, I'd probably scream!
ReplyDeleteI would probably scream and scramble away.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway opportunity.
I'd probably freak out. And hit it.
ReplyDeleteI would probably scream and freak out a little bit. I'd try to swim away as fast as possible. But then again, if the mermaid wasn't trying to hurt me, I'd like to observe it. Maybe even talk. That would be nice.
ReplyDeletemermaid or merman? Because that is important in gauging my reaction lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great review and giveaway! Ummm... I'd probably try and say hello and hope it's a good version of the mermaid lore and not the man eating one :)
ReplyDeleteIf a mermaid popped up in front of me, I would hug him or her! (I just hope it's the good guys)
ReplyDeleteConsider I'd had enough sun for one day.
ReplyDeleteJust like everyone else- I would scream first- ask questions later
ReplyDeleteI think it would depend on which version mermaid it would be. If it were a Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean mermaid I would most definitely swim away because those ones are scary. If it were a Neverland mermaid, I'd have to watch and make sure she didn't think I was trying to steal her man. If she were like Ariel I think we would become friends.
ReplyDeleteI would scream
ReplyDeleteI'd probably freak out and there would be screaming too...lots of screaming! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIf I met a mermaid I would say hi and ask if other mythological creatures are real.
ReplyDeleteI'd probably think I was going insane or hallucinating.
ReplyDeleteI would probably silently freak out (I don't really scream) and then go the opposite direction.
ReplyDeleteUh, scream and run away, lol.
ReplyDeleteFirst off I would be speechless. I would totally be in shock to see a Mermaid! But it would be so cool to actually see one. Then if I could even get any words out I would try to talk to the Mermaid or try and communicate with it. Now that would be the coolest thing to see an actual Mermaid!! Thank you so much for another AWESOME giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI would probably squeal and be in awe!
ReplyDeleteI would be worried what kind of mermaid it was, nice or mean?
ReplyDeleteI would be so ridiculously excited and happy and full of questions.
ReplyDeleteI would ask for the power to live as a mermaid for a couple days so I could explore her world as she sees it! I used to pretend to be a mermaid all the time when I was younger and in the swimming pool! I used to swim like them and everything! I used to pretend I was trapped in a tank at Sea World and I missed my family back home in the ocean!
ReplyDeleteLOL

I would probably ask her if she knew any hot mermen!
ReplyDeleteI would initially freak out but if she hung around I would ask her lots of questions.

If I were swimming in an ocean and a mermaid popped up in front of me, I would choke on water for a couple of seconds in a freak out moment.
ReplyDeleteI'd *try* to ask a couple questions. Then I would go home to bed - thinking that the sun caused me to hallucinate.
probably drown..because im not a good swimmer and that is surprising to see a mermaid!
ReplyDeleteI would probably be so surprised I would cry out at first. If my cry didn't scare her off, I would then try to speak friendly to her. Hopefully she's friendly, knows English and could speak back. It would make for a very interesting conversation.
