ARC of Unhinged
Anita Howard
Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she's always dreamed of.
That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.
As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.
If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.

My favorite character is The Mad Hatter.
ReplyDeleteThe Cheshire cat, Because I love him, and then because of a character that I like that has a Cheshire obsession.
ReplyDeleteThe Cheshire Cat because it reminds me of the cat bus in the Hayao Miyazaki film, My Neighbor Totoro

ReplyDeleteI've never read the book (even though I have two copies of it) but based on all the different movie adaptations I've seen my favorite character is the Mad Hatter. There's just something about him that rubs me the right way.
ReplyDeleteNever read the book! Hope to read Splintered though:-)
ReplyDeleteI think the Mad Hatter is pretty awesome. I LOVED that he is based on the idea that Hat makers back in the day tended to go insane because of their constant interaction with Mercury.
ReplyDeleteI love The Cheshire Cat

ReplyDeleteWhat?? What's wrong with that?!?! ;)
I don't either. Just one day they were gone. I've been complaining but no idea why they went away. (Though I DO still see them on author pages - just not books or other products.)
ReplyDeleteAlice herself!
ReplyDeleteBtw, there is no "like" button on the Amazon page, so I didn't push that entry (although I'd love another one). I had the same problem when Anita told me to make that an option-- looks like it still hasn't been fixed.
Absolutely the Chesire Cat. Cliche? Maybe, but I love thr Chesire Cat so much! Always have!

ReplyDeleteThe Mad Hatter. I'd like to invite him over for tea and cookies.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite character from the Alice in Wonderland books were Alice herself. I first read it in English, and my teacher only asked us to find all the 'funny parts', mainly because he was a little weird himself. But that made me pay close attention to what words were used and how Alice spoke, which made me love the little curious girl.
ReplyDeleteI always felt sorry for Bill the Lizard. :)
ReplyDeleteWhite Rabbit
ReplyDeleteThe hookah smoking caterpillar :)
ReplyDeleteThe Rabbit!
ReplyDeleteThe caterpillar :)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite character from Alice in Wonderland would most definitely have to be the Mad Hatter! He's so unique, and I love that about him :)
